Before any session, we need a plan for how they will be displayed in your home. Creating a plan and shooting for that plan results in a session that creates your final treasure. The entire portrait process takes place in several different meetings with us. The Pre-Session Consultation, the Shoot, the Preview & Ordering Appointment, and Delivery. It's all included.
"So, How Do You Want To Display Your Images?" This is always the first question and gives us a direction. Knowing the answer helps us create a plan for your session, capture it in the best possible way, and create images you will love forever and ever.
THE PLANNING CONSULTATION
This is where we plan, plan and plan! How do you want to view your images? What is your vision and how will we plan to make it come to life? From what to wear, to how images will be displayed, color design, location planning and look and feel of the session, our pre-consultation answers ALL your questions and helps us get to know your needs. We will coordinate how we shoot the session with what the final outcome will be. Your custom session is carefully planned and fully designed. Pre-consults can take place in-person or on the phone.

SHOOTS AT THE STUDIO OR ON-LOCATION
Shoots take place in our professional studio in Culver, Indiana. The studio is in an old barn that has been converted to the perfect space for photography. We work with controlled studio lighting and simple props and designs to create timeless images. The studio offers a stylish and relaxed environment where we create a look that is sophisticated no matter what the weather. When the weather is beautiful, let’s take it outside! Outside the studio, we have the option for beautiful fields, barns, flowers and more. Being located a few miles from Lake Maxinkuckee and the Culver Academies allows for other great options, especially if the area is special to you. We focus the portrait experience around creating an amazing experience in order to make beautiful art for your home.
THE REVEAL & ORDERING APPOINTMENT
This is where the fun continues! The Reveal & Ordering Appointment is when you get to see how we were able to create your vision. Your images are displayed in a slideshow and we take the time to design the right art pieces for your home. This is the time when you will finalize your portrait order, so be sure to pick a time where everyone who needs to decide on your custom artwork will be able to attend. We’ll help you sort through the images and make final decisions on what will look in your home. We’ll show you actual size and pair images together for a customized album or wall gallery. We specialize in creating custom albums and wall art you will love looking at every day.
DELIVERY & INSTALLATION
About 3-4 weeks later, your art pieces will be ready for pick up. We’ll call or email you to let you know it’s here and make arrangements for you to take home the final result. As many of our clients may not be in the area all of the time, we offer to ship worldwide as well, but we LOVE seeing you back in the studio to see your first reaction to the art we have created. Once your portraits are hanging, you can sit back and enjoy them EVERY DAY. For these are your precious kids —the ones who are growing too fast and who you will cherish forever and ever.
A LONG-TERM PLAN
Our families often come to us year after year, since children and families grow and change. So right from the start, we plan for the future, knowing that more may come. And we design around that! The next time you work with us, we’ll create art that coordinates with sessions past, so you can build on to what we’ve already created for you and adds to the timeless gift you are giving to yourself and your family.
THE INVESTMENT
A session retainer fee is required to confirm the booking and is non-refundable.
Newborn Portraiture:
Our newborn sessions last approximately 3 hours in our beautiful studio. Everything is provided and new parents are invited to relax and enjoy this special time. The newborn session fee is $250. Custom framed art starts at $395. Digital Collections are available. We invite all of our newborn families to take part in the Watch Me Grow sessions for an additional $100 to document the first two years of their little one's changing personality. Maternity sessions can be added on for an additional fee.
All Other Portraiture:
The Session fee for all other portraiture (children, family, and senior) is $250. Custom Wall Art and albums start at $395 and digital collections are available.
